ANEKS

APPENDIX

ANNEXE

Salbutamol

Salbutamol

Salbutamol

Salbutamol is classified as both

a stimulant and an anabolic agent.

agent anabolisant.

Celem badania poza zawodami

jest wykrywanie substancji anabolicznych. St´˝enie salbutamolu

wy˝sze ni˝ 500 nanogramów/mililitr (moczu), potwierdzone analizà

okreÊlajàcà

enantiomery

tego

zwiàzku, Êwiadczà o przyjmowaniu

w celu uzyskania efektu anabolicznego.

The intent of out-of-competition testing is to detect anabolic

agents. The revised rules on salbutamol consider it as anabolic agent

when its concentration is higher

than 500 nanograms/millilitre and

confirmed by enantiomeric analysis.

However, pending the acceptance of the enantiomeric analysis

by a peer-reviewed journal, only

concentrations higher than 1000

nanograms/millilitre will be considered positive as an anabolic agent

until further notice. Samples that

contain less than this amount are

not to be reported to the authorities

for out-of-competition testing.

podczas zawodów powinno byç wykonywane we wszystkich próbkach.

In-competition testing is designed to detect the use of salbutamol either as an anabolic agent or

as a stimulant. Whether or not the

administration of salbutamol is

declared is an important issue for

in-competition testing.

non-notification d’administration

de salbutamol aux autorités reste

une question importante.

Jako zasad´ nale˝y przyjàç, ˝e

interpretacja wyników laboratoryjnych jest w gestii odpowiednich

w∏adz sportowych. Aby uniknàç

nadmiernej iloÊci zaÊwiadczeƒ lekarskich potwierdzajàcych przewlek∏e stosowanie inhalacji salbutamolem, laboratoria nie powinny zamieszczaç w raportach st´˝eƒ ni˝szych ni˝ 100 nanogramów/mililitr

(moczu).

As always, it is the task of the

authorities to interpret the laboratory finding. In order not to overload authorities with the need to confirm medical notifications of non-recent inhaled use, laboratories do

not need to report concentrations

lower than 100 nanograms/millilitre.

Wszystkie st´˝enia salbutamolu

odnoszà si´ do wolnej (nie zwiàzanej) postaci w moczu.

All concentrations above correspond to free (non conjugated) salbutamol.

Toutes

les

concentrations

Efedryny

Ephedrines

Ephédrines

Analizowano farmakologi´ i farmakokinetyk´ wydalania efedryn

w moczu.

The pharmacology and urinary

pharmacokinetics of the ephedrines were reviewed. The consensus

was that the revised cut-offs would

detect all cases of doping where the

ephedrines were ingested on the

day of competition.

revues. Le consensus est établi que

les cut-off révisés permettront de

détecter tous les cas de dopage ou

les

éphédrines

auraient
