EXTENSION OF THE VALIDITY OF DEVELOPMENT

PERMITS REGULATIONS

LEGAL NOTICE 263 of 2023, as amended by Legal Notice 66 of

2025.

The title of these regulations is the Extension of the

Validity of Development Permits Regulations.

Unless the context otherwise requires, the words and

expressions used in these regulations shall have the same meaning as

that assigned to them in the Development Planning Act.

Any development permit which on the date of coming

into force of these regulations, is still within its period of validity but

which is due to expire by, or on any date earlier to the 31st December

2026, shall have its period of validity extended by an additional three

(3) years

Provided that any development permit, which expired

between the 1 st of January 2023 and the 9 th of November 2023, both

dates included, shall be deemed to be valid until 31 st December 2026

Provided further that any development permit which

expired between the 1 st of January 2025 and the 1 st of April 2025, both

dates included, shall be deemed to be valid until the 31 st December

2028.
