ROAD TOLLS AND USER CHARGES

REGULATIONS *

LEGAL NOTICE 260 of 2008.

The title of these regulations is the Road Tolls and User

Charges Regulations.

In these regulations, unless the context otherwise requires

"Directive 1999/62/EC" means Directive 1999/62/EC of the

European Parliament and of the Council of 17th June, 1999 on the

charging of heavy goods vehicles for the use of certain

infrastructures as amended by Directive 2006/38/EC of 17th May,

2006, and by Council Directive 2006/103/EC of 20th November,

2006.

The provisions of Directive 1999/62/EC shall be applicable

whenever a toll and user charge system is established on any road

in Malta.
