FACILITATING WORK LIFE FOR INDIVIDUALS

WITH DISABILITY REGULATIONS

LEGAL NOTICE 321 of 2021.

The title of these regulations is Facilitating Work Life for

Individuals with Disability Regulations.

In these regulations, unless the context otherwise

requires

"Act" means the Malta Enterprise Act;

"Corporation" means

Malta

Enterprise

Corporation

as

established under the Act;

"Commission" means the Commission for the Rights of Persons

with Disability as established under article 21 of the Equal

Opportunities (Persons with Disability) Act;

"disability" means a long-term physical, mental, intellectual or

sensory impairment which in interaction with various barriers may

hinder one’s full and effective participation in society on an equal

basis with others;

"Guidelines" means such guidelines as may be published by the

Corporation from time to time in terms of the Act.

Where the Corporation in collaboration with the

Commission are satisfied that the undertaking is an eligible

undertaking as prescribed within the Guidelines, the Corporation may

provide assistance to such undertaking to facilitate the work life of its

disabled employee in accordance with the terms and conditions set out

in the Guidelines.

Applications for assistance to support eligible

undertakings under these regulations shall reach the Corporation by

not later than the 31 st August 2023.

(2)

No assistance under these regulations shall be awarded

by the Corporation after the 31 st December 2023.
