FAMILY BUSINESS SUPPORT SERVICES

REGULATIONS

The title of these regulations is the Family Business

Support Service Regulations.

In these regulations, unless the context otherwise

requires

"the Act" means the Malta Enterprise Act;

"the Corporation" means Malta Enterprise established under

the Act;

"family business" means a business registered with the

Regulator in terms of the Family Business Act and holds an updated

certificate issued by the Regulator for Family Businesses;

"the Guidelines" means such guidelines as may be published

by the Corporation from time to time in terms of the Act.

Where the Corporation is satisfied that the business is

classified as a Family Business, the Corporation may provide

assistance in the form of a cash grant which shall not exceed the

amount of fifteen thousand euro (€15,000) per family business in any

rolling three (3) year period to access advisory services on succession

planning and mediation services with the terms and conditions as set

out in the Guidelines.

Applications for assistance under these regulations shall

reach the Corporation by not later than 30 th November, 2023. No

assistance under these regulations shall be awarded by the

Corporation after 31 st December, 2023.
