Laws of Malta — Subsidiary Legislation 460.26 — DESIGNATION OF COMPETENT AUTHORITY ORDER

(1) The title of this Order is the Designation of Competent

Authority Order.

(2) The purpose of this Order is to implement the provisions of

Regulation (EU) No 211/2011 of the European Parliament and of

the Council of 16 February 2011 on the citizens’ initiative,

hereinafter referred to as "the Regulation".

The Electoral Commission, established by article 60 of the

Constitution of Malta, is hereby designated as the competent

authority for the purposes of the Regulation.
