TREATY OF LISBON ORDER

LEGAL NOTICE 42 of 2008.

The title of this Order is the Treaty of Lisbon Order.

In this order, unless the context otherwise requires

''the Act'' means the European Union Act;

''the Specified Treaty'' means the Treaty between the Kingdom of

Belgium, the Republic of Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, the

Kingdom of Denmark, the Federal Republic of Germany, the

Republic of Estonia, the Hellenic Republic, the Kingdom of Spain,

the French Republic, Ireland, the Italian Republic, the Republic of

Cyprus, the Republic of Latvia, the Republic of Lithuania, the

Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, the Republic of Hungary, the

Republic of Malta, the Kingdom of the Netherlands, the Republic

of Austria, the Republic of Poland, the Portuguese Republic,

Romania, the Republic of Slovenia, the Slovak Republic, the

Republic of Finland, the Kingdom of Sweden, the United Kingdom

of Great Britain and Northern Ireland amending the Treaty on

E u r o p e a n U n i o n a n d t h e Tr e a t y e st a b l i s h i n g t h e E u r o p e a n

Community, signed at Lisbon on 13 December 2007;

''the Treaty'' has the same meaning as that given in the Act.

For the purposes of article 2(2) of the Act it is hereby

declared that the Specified Treaty shall be considered as one with

the Treaty immediately upon the coming into force of the Specified

Treaty between all the signatory states thereof as provided in

paragraph 2 of Article 6 of the Specified Treaty.
