TARIFF OF FEES PAYABLE TO MIDWIVES ORDER

GOVERNMENT NOTICE 315 of 1954, as amended by Emergency

Ordinance II of 1959; Act XIII of 1983; and Legal Notice 427 of 2007.

The title of this Order is Tariff of Fees payable to

Midwives Order.

TARIFF OF FEES PAYABLE TO MIDWIVES

When the midwife’s attendance is required

away from the town, suburb, or village in

which she resides, for every mile or part of

a mile from such town, suburb or village to

the limits of the town, suburb or village

where the patient resides, there shall be

reckoned additional to the fees laid down in

this tariff and to the travelling expenses

according to law, a rate of ..........................

The rates as established by this tariff are

binding only whenever there has been no

previous agreement between the midwife

and patient. The fees for services not

included in this tariff shall be assessed by

the Medical Council according to

circumstances, provided there has been no

previous agreement.
