CABLEWAYS INSTALLATIONS (IMPLEMENTING)

REGULATIONS

The title of these regulations is Cableways

Installations (Implementing) Regulations.

These regulations implement the requirements of

Regulation (EU) 2016/424 of the European Parliament and of the

Council of 9 March 2016 on cableway installations and repealing

Directive 2000/9/EC.

The Technical Regulations Division established by article

19 of the Malta Competition and Consumer Affairs Authority Act shall

be the notifying authority for the purposes of Article 23 of Regulation

(EU) No. 2016/424.

The procedures for the assessment and notification of

conformity assessment bodies, and the monitoring of notified bodies

shall be those prescribed in the Method for Designating Conformity

Assessment Bodies Regulations.

The penalties and proceedings applicable for

infringement of any of the provisions of Regulation (EU) No. 2016/

424 shall be those provided for in Part IV of the Product Safety Act.
