TEXTILES (IMPLEMENTATION)

REGULATIONS

LEGAL NOTICE 375 of 2012.

(1) The title of these

regulations

is

the

Textiles

(Implementation) Regulations.

(2) These regulations implement the provisions of Regulation

(EU) No 1007/2011 of the European Parliament and of the Council

of 27 September 2011 on textile fibre names and related labelling

and marking of the fibre composition of textile products and

repealing Council Directive 73/44/EEC and Directives 96/73/EC

and 2008/121/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council.

(3) Textile products which comply with the Textile

Regulations, as promulgated by Legal Notice 246 of 2010, which

are placed on the market before 8 May 2012 may continue to be

made available on the market until 9 November 2014.

References to the Textiles Regulations, 2010, revoked by

these regulations, shall be construed as references to Regulation

(EU) No 1007/2011 on textile fibre names and related labelling and

marking of the fibre composition of textile products and shall be

read in accordance with the correlation tables in Annex X to the

said Regulation (EU) No 1007/2011.
