ORDER OF CESSATION OF EXCLUSIVE

PRIVILEGES ON THE 1st JUNE, 2001

LEGAL NOTICE 47 of 2001.

The title of this Order is the Order of Cessation of

Exclusive Privileges on the 1st June, 2001.

For the purposes of article 44(3) of the Electronic

Communications (Regulation) Act, the 1st June, 2001 has been

appointed as the day when the following exclusive privileges of

running any electronic communications systems or of providing

any electronic communications services as may have been granted

in or under any law, licence, authorization, contract or other

instrument shall cease to exist

All

exclusive

privileges

to

operate

electronic

communications systems and to provide electronic communications

services granted to Melita Cable p.l.c. by virtue of the Agreement

concluded between the Government of Malta represented by Mr

George W Borg, Secretary General and Secretary to the Cabinet,

and Melita Cable TV Limited represented by Mr Gene Schneider,

Chairman, United Holdings Inc., on the third (3rd) day of June of

the year one thousand nine hundred and ninety one (1991) and the

Licence entitled "Licence for Malta Cable TV System" granted to

Melita Cable TV Ltd according to the terms of the said Agreement

and included in "Attachment A" to the said Agreement and the

Licence granted by the Electronic Communications Regulator with

t h e c o n c u r r e n c e o f t h e M i n i s te r r e s p o n s i b l e f o r e l e c t r o n i c

communications under the Electronic Communications

(Regulation) Act, to Melita Cable TV p.l.c. on the 6th January,

1998 with effect from the 2nd January, 1998.
