RATE OF INTEREST IN THE DUTY ON DOCUMENTS

AND TRANSFERS ACT REGULATIONS

LEGAL NOTICE 167 of 2020.

The title of these regulations is the Rate of Interest in the

Duty on Documents and Transfers Act Regulations.

In these regulations, unless the context otherwise

requires-

"the Act" means the Duty on Documents and Transfers Act.

Save as otherwise expressly provided, interest under the

Act shall apply at the rate of zero point three three per centum (0.33%)

for every thirty (30 days) or part thereof.

The interest applicable in paragraph (ii) of sub-article (4)

of article 35 of the Act shall apply at the rate of four per centum (4%)

per annum.
