FEES (KEEPING OF ANIMALS IN ZOOS)

REGULATIONS

LEGAL NOTICE 200 of 2024.

The title of these regulations is the Fees (Keeping of

Animals in Zoos) Regulations.

The definitions contained in the Keeping of Animals in

Zoos Regulations shall where applicable, apply to these regulations.

The fees payable to the Director for Veterinary Services

for the issue or renewal of a licence under the provisions of the Keeping

of Animals in Zoos Regulations shall be the following

Opening of a new zoo

€500

Renewal of a zoo licence

€100

Together with the licensing fee, both the applicant and the

licence holder shall be subject to a contribution fee payable to the

Animal Welfare Awareness and Research Fund as established in the

Keeping of Animals in Zoos Regulations as follows

Upon application of a new zoo

€1,500

Renewal of a zoo licence

€400
