ORDER

Legal Notice 291 of 2001.

The title of this Order is the Social Security (U.N.

Convention relating to the Status of Refugees) Order.

For the purposes of this Order, the U N. Convention on the

Status of Refugees refers to the 1951 United Nations Convention

relating to the Status of Refugees, and the Protocol relating to the

Status of Refugees of the 31st January, 1967.

The provisions of the Social Security Act shall apply to

refugees who in terms of the provisions of the International

Protection Act are accepted as refugees by the Commissioner for

Refugees appointed under the Act.
