DESIGNATION OF PLACES AS PRISONS ORDER
25th February, 1966
GOVERNMENT NOTICE 166 of 1966 and LEGAL NOTICES 71 of
1980, 43 of 1987, 24 of 1993, 50 of 1995, 38 of 1997 and 29 of 2000,
consolidated and 105 of 2019.
The title of this Order is the Designation of Places as
Prisons Order.
(Article 2)
1. The Police Headquarters at Floriana.
2. The lock-up in the building housing the Law Courts at
Valletta.
The places mentioned in the Schedule are hereby declared
to be a prison for the purposes of the Prisons Act.
The lock-up at Police General Headquarters at Floriana.
The lock-up at Paola Police Station.
St Michael Ward at St Luke’s Hospital in Guardamangia.
The former Primary School at Mta]leb.
Forensic Unit at Mount Carmel Hospital.
