DEFINITION OF "ELIGIBLE ASSETS" IN THE

EXTERNAL TRANSACTIONS ACT NOTICE

LEGAL NOTICES 111 and 125 of 2007, consolidated.

The title of this Notice is the Definition of "Eligible

Assets" in the External Transactions Act Notice.

For the purposes of article 2(1) of the External

Transactions Act, the definition "eligible assets" referred to in the

said subarticle of the said Act shall include

(a) deposits denominated in Maltese lira and euro, and

currency notes denominated in Maltese lira and euro;

and

(b) securities denominated in Maltese lira and euro with a

primary listing on the Malta Stock Exchange.
