USE OF STANDARD DUSTBIN ORDER

LEGAL NOTICE 41 of 1974, as amended by Legal Notice 96 of 1975.

The title of this Order is Use of Standard Dustbin Order.

No person may, in any town or village in Malta or Gozo,

place or deposit for collection or allow to be placed or deposited,

any refuse unless in a dustbin which shall comply with the

following provision of this Order.

The dustbin to be used for the purposes of article 2 shall

be -

(a) made of stout impervious material;

(b) provided with a lid of the same material totally

covering the refuse therein, and fitted in such a way as

not to be dislodged by strong winds;

(c) provided with adequate means for easy handling;

(d) of a capacity of not more than fifty litres; and

(e) kept adequately clean and in a good state of repair.
