HORSE-DRAWN VEHICLES

(TARIFF OF FARES) REGULATIONS

LEGAL NOTICE 75 of 1988, as amended by Legal Notice 407 of 2007.

The title of these Regulations is Horse-drawn Vehicles

(Tariff of Fares) Regulations.

Licensed horse-drawn vehicles (karrozzini) shall be hired

by time which shall commence when the cab is called off the stand

or street.

The following fares shall be charged by time for the hiring

of a horse-drawn cab per trip

Minimum fare (covering the first half-hour or

part thereof) .......... six euros and ninety-nine cents (6.99)

For each subsequent half-hour or part thereofone euro and

seventy-five cents (1.75).

The term "trip" means the transportation of a number of

passengers not exceeding four in number on an excursion or from

one destination to another

Provided that for the purposes of this regulation, two

children between the ages of three and ten years shall be considered

as one person.

The driver of each horse-drawn cab shall post up a copy of

the tariff of fares in his vehicle in a place where it can be easily

seen by the passengers.
