Passenger Transport Services

(Amendment No. 2) Regulations, 2025

IN EXERCISE of the powers conferred by article 43 of the

Authority for Transport in Malta Act, the Minister responsible for

transport after consultation with the Authority for Transport in Malta,

has made the following regulations:-

The title of these regulations is the Passenger Transport

Services (Amendment No. 2) Regulations, 2025 and these regulations

shall be read and construed as one with the Passenger Transport

Services Regulations, hereinafter referred to as the "principal

regulations".

Paragraph (d) of sub-regulation (2) of regulation 9 of the

principal regulations shall be substituted by the following new

paragraph

"(d) with the exception of the offences referred to

in sub-paragraphs (i) and (ii) of paragraph (a) of sub-

regulation (1), a sentence for the commission of an

offence which

(i) was committed before the 19th May

2009; and

(ii) was committed by a person who had a

valid driver’s tag issued to him by the Authority

before the 19th May 2009.".
