Malta Council for Economic and Social Development Act (Civil
Society Committee) (Amendment) Regulations, 2024
IN EXERCISE of the powers conferred by article 15 of the Malta
Council for Economic and Social Development Act, the Minister
responsible for social dialogue has made the following regulations:-
The title of these regulations is the Malta Council for Citation.
Economic and Social Development Act (Civil Society Committee)
(Amendment) Regulations, 2024 and these regulations shall be read
and construed as one with the Malta Council for Economic and Social S.L. 431.01.
Development Act (Civil Society Committee) Regulations, hereinafter
referred to as the "principal regulations".
In regulation 2 of the principal regulations, immediately Amends
after the definition "Local Council Association" there shall be added regulation

" "Malta Council for the Voluntary Sector" means
the Malta Council for the Voluntary Sector as established
by article 35 of the Voluntary Organisations Act;".
In sub-regulation (7) of regulation 4 of the principal Amends
regulations, immediately after the words "regulation 3(2)(l)" there regulation

(a) immediately after paragraph (b) of sub-regulation (1)
thereof there shall be added the following new paragraph
"(c) the Malta Council for the Voluntary Sector;";
and
(b) immediately after sub-regulation (10) thereof there
shall be added the following new sub-regulation
"(11) In the case of the Malta Council for the
Voluntary Sector, it shall be represented on the Committee
by the Chairperson of Malta Council for the Voluntary
Sector and one (1) directly nominated substitute.".
