National Productivity Board (Amendment) Regulations, 2024

IN EXERCISE of the powers conferred by article 15 of the Malta

Council for Economic and Social Development Act, the Minister

responsible for social dialogue has made the following regulations:-

The title of these regulations is the National Productivity Citation.

Board (Amendment) Regulations, 2024 and these regulations shall be

read and construed as one with the National Productivity Board S.L. 431.03.

Regulations, hereinafter referred to as the "principal regulations".

Regulation 6 of the principal regulations shall be amended Amends

sub-regulation (1) thereof shall be amended as

follows

(i) the words "The Board shall be composed of

eleven (11) members, consisting of the Chairperson

referred under paragraph (a) and ten (10) other members

which shall be appointed by the Prime Minister, as

follows:" thereof shall be substituted by the words "The

Board shall be composed of twelve (12) members which

shall consist of the Chairperson as referred to in paragraph

(a) and eleven (11) other members which shall be appointed

by the Prime Minister, as follows:"; and

(ii) in paragraph (e) thereof, the words "in the

Council." shall be substituted by the words "in the

Council;" and immediately after there shall be added the

following new paragraph

"(f) a senior official nominated by the

Minister responsible for the economy.";

(b) in sub-regulation (2) thereof, the words "in

accordance with sub-regulation (1)(b) to (e)" shall be substituted

by the words "in accordance with sub-regulation (1)(b) to (f)";

(c) in sub-regulation (5) thereof, the words "in

accordance with sub-regulation (1)(b) to (e)" shall be substituted

by the words "in accordance with sub-regulation (1)(b) to (f)".

In regulation 7 of the principal regulations, the words "in
