FEES ORDINANCE

(CAP. 35)

Fees (Keeping of Animals in Zoos) Regulations, 2024

IN EXERCISE of the powers conferred by article 2 of the Fees

Ordinance, the Minister responsible for Veterinary Services, with the

concurrence of the Minister responsible for Finance, has made the

following regulations:-

(1) The title of these regulations is the Fees (Keeping of

Animals in Zoos) Regulations, 2024.

(2) These regulations shall come into force within two (2)

months from the date of their publication in the Gazette.

The definitions contained in the Keeping of Animals in Zoos

Regulations shall where applicable, apply to these regulations.

2024.

The fees payable to the Director for Veterinary Services for

the issue or renewal of a licence under the provisions of the Keeping of

2024. Animals in Zoos Regulations shall be the following

Opening of a new zoo

€500

Renewal of a zoo licence

€100

Together with the licensing fee, both the applicant and the licence

holder shall be subject to a contribution fee payable to the Animal

Welfare Awareness and Research Fund as established in the Keeping

of Animals in Zoos Regulations as follows

2024. Upon application of a new zoo

€1,500

Renewal of a zoo licence

€400
