Unfair Trading Practices in the Food Supply

Chain (Amendment) Regulations, 2024

IN EXERCISE of the powers conferred by article 3 of the

Supplies and Services Act, the Minister responsible for trade, has

made the following regulations:-

The title of these regulations is the Unfair Trading Practices

in the Food Supply Chain (Amendment) Regulations, 2024 and these

regulations shall be read and construed as one with the Unfair Trading

Practices in the Food Supply Chain Regulations, hereinafter referred to

as the "principal regulations".

In the Maltese text only, in the marginal note of regulation 1

of the principal regulations, the word "TTitolu" shall be substituted by

the word "Titolu".

The second proviso to sub-paragraph (iv) of paragraph (a)

of sub-regulation (1) of regulation 8 of the principal regulations shall

be substituted by the following new proviso

"Provided further that for the purposes of sub-

paragraphs (i) to (iv), where the buyer establishes the amount

payable, the payment periods provided for in sub-paragraphs (i)

and (ii) shall start to run from the end of an agreed delivery

period during which the deliveries have been made, while the

payment periods provided for in sub-paragraphs (iii) and (iv)

shall start to run from the date of delivery:".
