Bye-Laws of 2024 to amend the Bye-Laws of 2016 in terms of the
General Regulations for University Postgraduate Awards, 2021 for the
Degree of Master in Teaching and Learning - MTL -
under the auspices of the Faculty of Education
IN EXERCISE of the powers conferred upon him by articles 74(5) and 75(6) of the
Education Act (Cap. 327), the Chancellor of the University of Malta has promulgated
the following bye-laws made by the Board of the Faculty of Education in virtue of
the powers conferred upon it by article 81(1)(c) of the said Act and which have been
approved by the Senate of the University of Malta as required by article 81(2) of the
said Act
Citation
These bye-laws may be cited as the Bye-Laws of 2024 to amend the
Bye-Laws of 2016 in terms of the General Regulations for University Postgraduate
Awards, 2021 for the degree of Master in Teaching and Learning - MTL - and shall
be read and construed as one with the Bye-Laws of 2016 in terms of the General
Regulations for University Postgraduate Awards, 2021 for the degree of Master in
Teaching and Learning - MTL - under the auspices of the Faculty of Education,
published as Legal Notice 161 of 2016, hereinafter referred to as “the principal bye-
laws”.
Applicability
These bye-laws shall be applicable for courses commencing in October
2024 or later.
Amendment to bye-law 13 of the principal bye-laws
Paragraph (2) of bye-law 13 of the principal bye-laws shall be deleted.
Paragraphs (3) to (10) of bye-law 13 of the principal bye-laws shall be
renumbered as paragraphs (2) to (9).
Deletion of bye-law 17 of the principal bye-laws
Bye-law 17 of the principal bye-laws shall be deleted.
Renumbering of bye-laws 18 to 20 of the principal bye-laws
Bye-laws 18 to 20 of the principal bye-laws shall be renumbered as bye-
laws 17 to 19.
