Compulsory Registration Area and Voluntary Registration

Rules, 2024

IN EXERCISE of the powers conferred by article 59 of the Land

Registration Act, the Minister responsible for the Land Registry made

the following rules:-

The title of these regulations is the Compulsory Citation.

Registration Area and Voluntary Registration Rules, 2024.

In these rules, unless the context otherwise requires

"Act" means the Land Registration Act;

"compulsory registration area" shall have the same

meaning as assigned to it in the Act;

"Land Registrar" shall have the same meaning as assigned

to it in the Act;

"registrar" shall have the same meaning as assigned to it in

the Act;

"registration area" shall have the same meaning as assigned

to it in the Act;

"voluntary registration" means the registration of a title to

land in accordance with the provisions of article 17 of the Act.
