Police Act (Amendment of Fourth Schedule) Regulations, 2024

IN EXERCISE of the powers conferred by articles 82(2) and 101

of the Police Act, the Minister responsible for the police, with the

concurrence of the Minister responsible for finance, has made the

following regulations:-

The title of these regulations is the Police Act (Amendment

of Fourth Schedule) Regulations, 2024 and these regulations shall be

read and construed as one with the Fourth Schedule to the Police Act,

hereinafter referred to as the "Fourth Schedule".

In sub-regulation (2) of regulation 2 of the Fourth

Schedule, the words "of the Act." shall be substituted by the words "of

the Act:" and immediately after there shall be added the following new

proviso

"Provided that any serving police officer shall have

the period served during any paid full-time basic induction

course or paid full-time cadetship course considered as service in

a disciplined force upon successful completion of the said

course, for the purposes of pension in accordance with the terms

and conditions of the Act.".
