Exemption of Duty in terms of article 23

(Amendment No. 2) Order, 2023

IN EXERCISE of the powers conferred by article 23 of the Duty

on Documents and Transfers Act, the Minister responsible for finance

has made the following order:-

The title of this order is the Exemption of Duty in terms of

article 23 (Amendment No. 2) Order, 2023 and this order shall be read

and construed as one with the Exemption of Duty in terms of article 23

Order, hereinafter referred to as the "principal order".

The first proviso to sub-article (1) of article 4 of the principal

order shall be amended as follows

(a)

paragraph (b) thereof shall be amended as follows

(i) in sub-paragraph (i) thereof, the words "by the

31st December 2023" shall be substituted by the words "by

the 31st January 2024" and the words "by the 29th February

2024" shall be substituted by the words "by the 31st March

2024"; and

(ii) in sub-paragraph (ii) thereof, the words "by the

31st December 2023" shall be substituted by the words "by

the 31st January 2024"; and

(b) in sub-paragraph (iii)(b) of paragraph (c) thereof, the

words "by the 31st December 2023" shall be substituted by the

words "by the 31st January 2024".
