Pre-Tertiary Certificate in Dental Surgery Assistance Course (Amendment)

Regulations, 2023

IN EXERCISE of the powers conferred upon him by articles 74 (5) and 75 (6) of the

Education Act (Cap. 327), the Chancellor of the University of Malta has promulgated

the following regulations made by the Senate of the University of Malta by virtue of

the powers conferred upon it by articles 75 (3) and 79 (b) of the said Act

Citation

These regulations may be cited as the Pre-Tertiary Certificate in Dental

Surgery Assistance Course (Amendment) Regulations, 2023 and shall be read and

construed as one with the Pre-Tertiary Certificate in Dental Surgery Assistance Course

Regulations, 2022, published as Legal Notice 329 of 2022, hereinafter referred to as

the “principal regulations”.

Applicability

Dawn ir-regolamenti jistgħu jissejħu bħala r-Regolamenti tal-2023 biex

jemendaw ir-Regolamenti tal-Kors għall-Pre-Tertiary Certificate in Dental Surgery

Assistance u għandhom jinqraw u jinftiehmu bħala ħaġa waħda mar-Regolamenti

tal-2022 tal-Kors għall-Pre-Tertiary Certificate in Dental Surgery Assistance,

ippubblikati bħala Avviż Legali 329 tal-2022, li minn hawn ’il quddiem jissejħu “ir-

regolamenti prinċipali.”

L-Applikabilità

These regulations shall be applicable from 1 December 2023 onwards.

Amendment to regulation 1 of the principal regulations

For paragraph (2) of regulation 1 of the principal regulations there shall be

substituted the following

“(2) In these regulations, unless the context otherwise requires -

“the Board” means the Board of the Faculty of Dental Surgery;

“the Board of Studies” means the Board of Studies appointed by Senate for

the Course, on the recommendation of the Board;

“the Certificate” means the Pre-Tertiary Certificate in Dental Surgery

Assistance; and

“the Course” means the programme of study leading to the Pre-Tertiary

Certificate in Dental Surgery Assistance.”

Deletion of regulation 7 of the principal regulations

Regulation 7 of the principal regulations shall be deleted.

Renumbering of regulations 8 to 12 of the principal regulations

“il-Bord tal-Istudji” tfisser il-Bord tal-Istudji maħtur mis-Senat għall-Kors,

fuq ir-rakkomandazzjoni tal-Bord;

“iċ-Ċertifikat” tfisser il-Pre-Tertiary Certificate in Dental Surgery Assistance;

u

“il-Kors” tfisser il-programm ta’ studju li jwassal għall-Pre-Tertiary

Certificate in Dental Surgery Assistance.”

It-Tħassir tar-regolament 7 tar-regolamenti prinċipali

Ir-regolament 7 tar-regolamenti prinċipali għandu jiġi mħassar.

In-Numerazzjoni mill-ġdid tar-regolamenti 8 sa 12 tar-regolamenti prinċipali

Regulations 8 to 12 of the principal regulations shall be renumbered as

regulations 7 to 11.
