Special Travel Requirements Order, 2023

IN EXERCISE of the powers conferred by article 27(c) of the

Public Health Act, the Superintendent of Public Health has made the

following order:-

(1) The title of this order is the Special Travel

commencement.

Requirements Order, 2023.

(2)

This order shall come into force on 9th January 2023.

Any person who travels to Malta from China shall be in

possession of a negative COVID-19 Rapid Antigen Test (RAT)

performed not more than forty-eight (48) hours prior to his arrival in

Malta

Provided that the said requirements shall not apply to

children who are eleven (11) years old or under.

The Superintendent of Public Health may, by means of a

Government notice published in the Gazette and in accordance with

those conditions which she deems necessary or appropriate, exempt

any person from the requisites of this order.
