RE-USE OF PUBLIC SECTOR INFORMATION ACT

Person Register and Personal Data Sharing within

the Public Sector (Amendment) Regulations, 2023

IN EXERCISE of the powers conferred by article 25 of the Re-

Use of Public Sector Information Act, the Minister responsible for

Public Sector Information has made the following regulations:-

The title of these regulations is the Person Register and

Personal Data Sharing within the Public Sector (Amendment)

Regulations, 2023 and these regulations shall be read and construed as

one with the Person Register and Personal Data Sharing within the

Public Sector Regulations, hereinafter referred to as "the principal

regulations".

Regulation 2 of the principal regulations shall be amended

as follows

(a) in the definition "Agency" thereof, immediately after

the words "Identity Malta Agency (Establishment) Order" there

shall be added the words "which shall be the controller for the

purposes of these regulations"; and

(b) in the definition "Registrar" or "Registrar of Persons"

thereof, the words "the controller" shall be substituted by the

words "the administrator".
