Financial Penalties (Execution in the European Union)

(Amendment) Regulations, 2023

IN EXERCISE of the powers conferred by article 628A of the

Criminal Code, the Minister responsible for justice has made the

following regulations:-

The title of these regulations is the Financial Penalties

(Execution in the European Union) (Amendment) Regulations, 2023

and these regulations shall be read and construed as one with the

Financial Penalties (Execution in the European Union) Regulations,

hereinafter referred to as "the principal regulations".

Schedule 1 to the principal regulations shall be amended as

(a) immediately after the item "Austria" thereof there

shall be added the items "Belgium", "Bulgaria",and"Croatia";

(b) immediately after the item "France" thereof there

shall be added the items "Germany" and "Greece";

(c) immediately after the item "Hungary" thereof there

shall be added the items "Ireland" and "Italy";

(d) immediately after the item "Romania" thereof there

shall be added the item "Slovakia";

(e) immediately after the item "Spain" thereof there shall

be added the item "Sweden";

(f)

the item "United Kingdom." thereof shall be deleted;

(g) the item "The Netherlands" thereof shall be

substituted by the item "The Netherlands.".

In the Maltese version only, in the principal regulations the

word "pieni", wherever it occurs, shall be substituted by the word
