Start-up Finance (Amendment) Regulations, 2023

IN EXERCISE of the powers conferred by article 5 of the Malta

Enterprise Act, the Minister responsible for Malta Enterprise has made

the following regulations:-

(1) The title of these regulations is the Start-up Finance

commencement.

(Amendment) Regulations, 2023 and these regulations shall be read

and construed as one with the Start-up Finance Regulations,

hereinafter referred as "the principal regulations".

(2) These regulations shall be deemed to have come into force

on 1st December 2022.

In regulation 2 of the principal regulations, the definition

"Start-Up Accelerator Programme" shall be deleted.

Regulation 6 of the principal regulations shall be

substituted by the following new regulation

The Corporation may support eligible

" Form of aid.

undertakings by providing the following funding as

further prescribed in the guidelines

(a) wage costs;

(b) working capital;

(c) costs of machinery, equipment and

intangible assets; and, or

(d) increase in equity or funds raised

through private equity and, or crowdfunding

campaigns.".

4. In regulation 8 of the principal regulations, the words "31st

December 2022." shall be substituted by the words "31st December

2023.".
