Students Maintenance Grants

(Amendment) Regulations, 2023

IN EXERCISE of article 70 of the Education Act, the Minister

responsible for education has made the following regulations:-

The title of these regulations is the Students Maintenance

Grants (Amendment) Regulations, 2023 and these regulations shall be

read and construed as one with the Students Maintenance Grants

Regulations, hereinafter referred to as "the principal regulations".

In regulation 7 of the principal regulations, the words

"courses at Higher Education as prescribed courses" shall be substituted

by the words "courses at Further and Higher Education level as

prescribed courses".

The Schedule to the principal regulations shall be amended

as follows

(a) the heading "Part III - Prescribed Degree Courses"

thereof shall be substituted by the words "Part III - Prescribed

Courses"; and

(b) the paragraph immediately after the heading of Part

III thereof, the words "following a full-time day undergraduate

degree course" shall be substituted by the words "following a full-

time course leading to a full qualification at Level 4 or higher of

the Malta Qualification Framework".
