Bye-Laws of 2023 to amend the Bye-Laws of 2009 in terms of the
General Regulations for University Postgraduate Awards, 2021 for the
Degree of Master in Creativity and Innovation
under the auspices of the Edward de Bono Institute for the Design and
Development of Thinking
IN EXERCISE of the powers conferred upon him by articles 74 (5) and 75 (6) of the
Education Act (Cap. 327), the Chancellor of the University of Malta has promulgated
the following bye-laws made by the Board of the Edward de Bono Institute for
Creative Thinking and Innovation in virtue of the powers conferred upon it by article
5 (b)(v) of the Statute for the Institute, which bye-laws have been approved by the
Senate of the University of Malta
Citation
These bye-laws may be cited as the Bye-Laws of 2023 to amend the Bye-Laws
of 2009 in terms of the General Regulations for University Postgraduate Awards,
2021 for the Degree of Master in Creativity and Innovation and shall be read and
construed as one with the Bye-Laws of 2009 in terms of the General Regulations for
University Postgraduate Awards, 2021 for the Degree of Master in Creativity and
Innovation under the auspices of the Edward de Bono Institute for the Design and
Development of Thinking, published as Legal Notice 80 of 2009, hereinafter referred
to as “the principal bye-laws.”
Applicability
These bye-laws shall be applicable from 1 June, 2023 onwards.
Amendment to the title of the principal bye-laws
For the title of the principal bye-laws there shall be substituted the following
“Bye-Laws of 2023 in terms of the General Regulations for University Postgraduate
Awards, 2021 for the Degree of Master in Creativity and Innovation under the auspices
of the Edward de Bono Institute for Creative Thinking and Innovation”
Amendment to bye-law 1 of the principal bye-laws
For bye-law 1 of the principal bye-laws there shall be substituted the
following
“Citation and Interpretation
(1) These bye-laws may be cited as the Bye-Laws of 2023 in terms
of the General Regulations for University Postgraduate Awards, 2021 for the degree
of Master in Creativity and Innovation under the auspices of the Edward de Bono
Institute for Creative Thinking and Innovation.

In these bye-laws, unless the context otherwise requires –
“the Board” means the Board of the Edward de Bono Institute for the Creative
Thinking and Innovation;
“the Course” means the programme of study leading to the Degree of Master
in Creativity and Innovation;
“the Degree” means the degree of Master in Creativity and Innovation;
“the Postgraduate Diploma” means the Postgraduate Diploma in Creativity
and Innovation; and,
“the Principal Regulations” means the General Regulations for University
Postgraduate Awards, 2021.”
Deletion of bye-law 9 of the principal bye-laws
Bye-law 9 of the principal bye-laws shall be deleted.
Re-numbering of bye-laws 10 to 13 of the principal bye-laws

quddiem.

L-Emenda għall-ordinament 1 tal-ordinamenti prinċipali
Minflok l-ordinamenti 1 tal-ordinamenti prinċipali għandu jidħol dan li

“It-Titlu u l-Interpretazzjoni
1. (1) Dawn l-ordinamenti jistgħu jissejħu bħala l-Ordinamenti tal-2023
skont ir-Regolamenti Ġenerali tal-2021 għar-Rikonoxximenti Universitarji ta’ wara
l-Ewwel Grad għall-Grad ta’ Master in Creativity and Innovation taħt il-patroċinju
tal-Istitut Edward de Bono għall-Ħsieb Kreattiv u l-Innovazzjoni.
(2) F’dawn l-ordinamenti, kemm-il darba r-rabta tal-kliem ma teħtieġx
mod ieħor –
“il-Bord” tfisser il-Bord tal-Istitut Edward de Bono għall-Ħsieb Kreattiv u
l-Innovazzjoni;
“il-Kors” tfisser il-programm ta’ studju li jwassal għall-Grad ta’ Master in
Creativity and Innovation;
“il-Grad” tfisser il-grad ta’ Master in Creativity and Innovation;
“il-Postgraduate Diploma” tfisser il-Postgraduate Diploma in Creativity and
Innovation; u
“ir-Regolamenti Prinċipali” tfisser ir-Regolamenti Ġenerali tal-2021 għar-
Rikonoxximenti Universitarji ta’ wara l-Ewwel Grad.”
It-Tħassir tal-ordinament 9 tal-ordinamenti prinċipali
L-ordinament 9 tal-ordinamenti prinċipali għandu jitħassar.
In-Numerazzjoni mill-ġdid tal-ordinamenti 10 sa 13 tal-ordinamenti prinċipali
Bye-Laws 10 to 13 of the principal bye-laws shall be re-numbered as
bye-laws 9 to 12.
