Pharmacies (Opening Hours) (Amendment) Rules, 2022

IN EXERCISE of the powers conferred by article 89 of the

Medicines Act, the Licensing Authority, has made the following rules:-

The title of these rules is the Pharmacies (Opening Hours)

(Amendment) Rules, 2022, and these rules shall be read and construed

as one with the Pharmacies (Opening Hours) Rules, hereinafter

referred to as "the principal rules".

Rule 3 of the principal rules shall be substituted by the

following

"3. It shall be the duty of the managing pharmacist to

ensure that on Sundays and public holidays his pharmacy shall at

least be open from 9.00 a.m. to 12.00 noon and from 4.00 p.m. to

00 p.m. strictly in accordance with the roster issued for this

purpose by the Licensing Authority

Provided that the provisions of this rule shall not apply for

that pharmacy at the Malta International Airport.".
