Students Maintenance Grants (Amendment)

Regulations, 2022

IN EXERCISE of the powers conferred by article 70 of the

Education Act, the Minister for Education has made the following

regulations:-

The title of these regulations is the Students Maintenance

Grants (Amendment) Regulations, 2022 and these regulations shall be

read and construed as one with the Students Maintenance Grants

Regulations, hereinafter referred to as "the principal regulations".

In paragraph (e) of sub-regulation (1) of regulation 4 of the

principal regulations, the words "more than twenty hours weekly"

shall be substituted by the words "more than twenty-five hours

weekly".

In regulation 10 of the principal regulations, the words

"Students who are in full-time employment, part-time self-employed

or part-time employment of more than twenty hours a week" shall be

substituted by the words "Students who are in full-time employment,

part-time self-employed or part-time employment of more than

twenty-five hours a week".
