VIRTUAL FINANCIAL ASSETS ACT

(CAP. 590)

Virtual Financial Assets (Amendment No. 2) Regulations, 2022

IN EXERCISE of the powers conferred by article 38 of the

Virtual Financial Assets Act, the Minister responsible for the

regulation of financial services, acting on the advice of the Malta

Financial Services Authority, has made the following regulations:-

The title of these regulations is the Virtual Financial Assets Citation.

(Amendment No.2) Regulations, 2022 and these regulations shall be

read and construed as one with the Virtual Financial Assets S.L. 590.01.

Regulations, hereinafter referred to as "the principal regulations".

Sub-regulation (1) of regulation 4 of the principal Amends

regulation 4 of

regulations shall be amended as follows

(a) in paragraph (n) thereof, for the words, "European

right; and", there shall be substituted the words, "European

right;";

(b) in paragraph (o) thereof, for the words, "the Act.",

there shall be substituted the words, "the Act; and"; and

(c) immediately after paragraph (o) thereof, as amended,

there shall be added the following new paragraph

"(p) the Asset Recovery Bureau in the course of

and for the purpose of its functions as delineated in the

Proceeds of Crime Act.".
