Enforcement of the Order relating to Closure of Places Open to
the Public Regulations, 2021
IN EXERCISE of the powers conferred by article 26 of the
Public Health Act, the Minister responsible for public health, after
consultation with the Superintendent of Public Health, has made the
following regulations:-
(1) The title of these regulations is the Enforcement of
commencement.
the Order relating to Closure of Places Open to the Public Regulations,
2021. (2) These regulations shall come in force between 11 March
2021 and 11 April 2021, both dates included
Provided that these regulations shall be deemed to have
remained in force after the above date for the purpose of any act,
decision, action or proceedings taken under these regulations in
L.N. 87 of 2021. respect of any breach of the Closure of Places Open to the Public
Order, 2021.
In these regulations, unless the context otherwise requires
"Act" means the Public Health Act;
"Superintendent" means the Superintendent of Public Health.
In accordance with articles 27(c) and 29(1) of the Act, the
Superintendent of Public Health, is hereby prescribing measures to
guard against and, or to control the COVID-19 infectious disease.
Any order issued by the Superintendent for the closure of
places open to the public in accordance with the Closure of Places
Open to the Public Order, 2021 shall be strictly adhered to.
L.N. 87 of 2021.
Any person who fails to abide by the provisions of these
regulations shall be guilty of an offence and shall, on conviction, be
liable to the payment of a penalty of six thousand euro (€6,000) for
L.N. 87 of 2021. each and every occasion that the Closure of Places Open to the Public
Order, 2021 is breached.
