Organised Sport Activities Regulations, 2021
IN EXERCISE of the powers conferred by article 26 of the
Public Health Act, the Minister responsible for public health, after
consultation with the Superintendent of Public Health, has made the
following regulations
The title of these regulations is the Organised Sport
Activities Regulations, 2021.
All organised sport activities shall be prohibited
Provided that the Superintendent for public health may, in
her discretion and subject to any conditions she may deem necessary,
exempt national Maltese sport teams from these regulations in
exceptional or necessary cases including international games.
These regulations shall remain in force until the 11th April
2021
Provided that these regulations shall be deemed to have
remained in force for the purpose of any act, decision, action or
proceedings taken in respect of any breach of these regulations.
Any person officially responsible of a sporting organisation
who acts in breach of these regulations shall be guilty of an offence
and shall, on conviction, be liable to payment of a penalty of six
thousand euro (€6,000), for each and every occasion on which these
regulations are breached.
The Contact Sport Regulations, 2021 are hereby repealed.
