Groups of Persons in Residential Properties Regulations, 2021

IN EXERCISE of the powers conferred by article 26 of the

Public Health Act, the Minister responsible for public health, after

consultation with the Superintendent of Public Health, has made the

following regulations

The title of these Regulations is the Groups of Persons in

Residential Properties Regulations, 2021.

Groups of persons who respectively between them live in

more than four (4) different residences shall not gather in a residential

property.

Any person who fails to abide by the provisions of these

regulations shall be guilty of an offence and shall, on conviction, be

liable to the payment of a penalty of one hundred euro (€100) for each

and every occasion on which these regulations are breached

Provided that if the offence is admitted and the penalty is

paid before proceedings are commenced in front of the Commissioner

for Justice, the applicable penalty shall be reduced to fifty euro (€50).

These regulations shall remain in force until 11 April 2021

Provided that these regulations, even after the 11 April 2021,

shall remain in force for the purpose of any act, decision, action or

proceedings taken in respect of any breach of the said regulations that

occurred or were instituted under or by virtue of these regulations.
