Notice of Repeal of Chapter 327 of the Laws of Malta

IN EXERCISE of the powers conferred by article 71 of the

Education Act, 2019 (Cap. 605), the Minister for Education has

established the 1st October, 2021, as the date on which the provisions

of the Education Act (Cap. 327), hereinafter referred to as "the Act",

except the provisions hereinafter listed, shall be repealed

(a) the definitions "Council", "employment", "entity"

(with regard to the University and the Malta College of Arts,

Science and Technology), "Faculty Board", "financial year",

"General Estimates", "Government", "the Minister", "public

officer", "Rector", "remuneration" , "Senate", and "University"

in article 2 of the Act;

(b)

articles 23 to 42, both inclusive, of the Act;

(c) the definitions "quality assurance" and "quality audit"

in article 63, and article 69(10) of the Act;

(d)

articles 72 to 84, both inclusive, of the Act;

(e)

articles 85 to 112, both inclusive, of the Act;

(f) articles 113, 114 and 115 of the Act (with regard to

the teaching profession, the University and the Malta College

of Arts, Science and Technology);

(g) articles 116 to 124, both inclusive, of the Act (with

regard to the teaching profession, the University and the

Malta College of Arts, Science and Technology);

(h) articles 130, 131 and 132 of the Act (with regard to

the teaching profession, the University and the Malta College

of Arts, Science and Technology); and

(i) articles 134, 135 and 136 of the Act (with regard to

the teaching profession, the University and the Malta College

of Arts, Science and Technology).
