Use of Animals and Animal-Drawn Vehicles on the Road

(Amendment) Regulations, 2021

IN EXERCISE of the powers conferred by article 43 of the

Authority for Transport in Malta Act, the Minister for Transport,

Infrastructure and Capital Projects, after consultation with the

Authority for Transport in Malta, has made the following regulations:-

The title of these regulations is the Use of Animals and Citation.

Animal-Drawn Vehicles on the Road (Amendment) Regulations, 2021

and these regulations shall be read and construed as one with the Use S.L. 499. 66.

of Animals and Animal-Drawn Vehicles on the Road Regulations,

hereinafter referred to as "the principal regulations".

Regulation 6 of the principal regulations shall be amended Amends

as follows

the principal

regulations.

(a) sub-paragraph (iii) of paragraph (f) of sub-regulation

(3)thereof shall be substituted by the following new sub-

paragraph

"articles 4, 5, 6(a), 7, 8(b), 8(c), 8(e), 11, 13(2),

14(3), 15, 15A, 16, 17, 18, 22(1)(b), (c), (d), (e), (f),

22(1C), 22(1D)(a), 22(1E) and 22(3BA)(5) of the

Dangerous Drugs Ordinance;"; and

(b) immediately after paragraph (c) of sub-regulation

(4)thereof there shall be added the following new paragraph

"(d) Within three (3) months preceding the date of

expiry of Licence X, and thereafter, the holder thereof shall

be obliged to submit an application for renewal with the

Authority in such manner and against such payment as may

be prescribed by the Authority together with

(i)

a police conduct certificate; and

(ii) a signed declaration by virtue of which he

confirms that he still satisfies the condition of good

conduct and repute and that since the issuance of the

last licence he has not been found guilty of any

criminal offence in violation of the provisions of

regulation 6(3)(f)."
