Labelling of Tyres with respect to Fuel Efficiency and Other

Parameters (Implementing) Regulations, 2021

IN EXERCISE of the powers conferred by articles 38 and 39 of

the Product Safety Act, the Minister for Tourism and Consumer

Protection, on the advice of the Director General (Technical

Regulations), has made the following regulations:-

(1) The title of these regulations is the Labelling of Tyres Citation and

with respect to Fuel Efficiency and Other Parameters (Implementing) scope.

Regulations, 2021.

(2) These regulations implement the provisions of Regulation

(EU) 2020/740 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 25

May 2020 on the labelling of tyres with respect to fuel efficiency and

other parameters, amending Regulation (EU) 2017/1369 and repealing

Regulation (EC) No 1222/2009.

In these regulations, unless the context otherwise requires

Interpretation.

"Regulation (EU) 2020/740" means Regulation (EU) 2020/740 of

the European Parliament and of the Council of 25 May 2020 on the

labelling of tyres with respect to fuel efficiency and other parameters,

amending Regulation (EU) 2017/1369 and repealing Regulation (EC)

No 1222/2009.

With reference to Article 11(5) of Regulation (EU) 2020/ Proceedings and

740, the proceedings and penalties applicable for any infringement of penalties.

the provisions of Regulation (EU) 2020/740 shall be those provided

for in Part IV of the Product Safety Act.

(1) The Labelling of Tyres with Respect to Fuel Repeal.

Efficiency and Other Essential Parameters (Implementation) S.L. 427. 84.

Regulations are hereby repealed.

(2) Any reference in any law to the repealed regulations

mentioned in sub-regulation (1) shall be construed as references to

these regulations.
