Bye-Laws of 2021 to amend the Bye-Laws of 2016 in terms of the

General Regulations for University Undergraduate Awards, 2019 for the

Degree of Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Technical Design and Technology -

B.Sc. (Hons) TDT - under the auspices of the Faculty of Education

IN EXERCISE of the powers conferred upon him by articles 74 (5) and 75 (6) of the

Education Act (Cap. 327), the Chancellor of the University of Malta has promulgated

the following bye-laws made by the Board of the Faculty of Education in virtue of

the powers conferred upon it by article 81 (1) (c) of the said Act and which have been

approved by the Senate of the University of Malta as required by article 81 (2) of the

said Act

These bye-laws may be cited as the Bye-Laws of 2021 to amend the

Bye-Laws of 2016 in terms of the General Regulations for University Undergraduate

Awards, 2019 for the degree of Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Technical Design

and Technology - B.Sc. (Hons) TDT - and shall be read and construed as one with the

Bye-Laws of 2016 in terms of the General Regulations for University Undergraduate

Awards, 2019 for the degree of Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Technical Design

and Technology - B.Sc. (Hons) TDT - under the auspices of the Faculty of Education,

published as Legal Notice 297 of 2016, hereinafter referred to as “the principal bye-

laws”.

Applicability

Reg. 2 — B.Sc. (Hons) TDT - under the auspices of the Faculty of Education Open official source

These bye-laws shall be applicable for courses commencing in October

2021 or later.

Amendment to bye-law 3 of the principal bye-laws

Reg. 3 — B.Sc. (Hons) TDT - under the auspices of the Faculty of Education Open official source

The following paragraph (2) shall be added after paragraph (1) of bye-

law 3 of the principal bye-laws

“(2) Applicants in possession of the Diploma in Design Foundation Studies

or the Certificate in Foundation Studies in Engineering and ICT awarded by the

University of Malta may also be considered.”

Paragraph (2) of the bye-law 3 of the principal bye-laws shall be
