Family Business Support Services (Amendment) Regulations, 2021

IN EXERCISE of the powers conferred by article 5 of the Malta

Enterprise Act, the Minister for Energy, Enterprise and Sustainable

Development, after consultation with the Malta Enterprise Corporation

has made the following regulations: -

The title of these regulations is the Family Business

Support Services (Amendment) Regulations, 2021 and these

regulations shall be read and construed as one with the Family

Business Support Services Regulations, hereinafter referred as the

"principal regulations".

Regulation 3 of the principal regulations shall be

substituted by the following

"3. Where the Corporation is satisfied that the business is

classified as a Family Business, the Corporation may provide

assistance in the form of a cash grant which shall not exceed the

amount of fifteen thousand euro (€15,000) per family business in

any rolling three (3) year period to access advisory services on

succession planning and mediation services with the terms and

conditions as set out in the Guidelines.".

Regulation 4 of the principal regulations shall be

substituted by the following

"4. Applications for assistance under these regulations

shall reach the Corporation by not later than 30 th November,

2023. No assistance under these regulations shall be awarded by

the Corporation after 31 st December, 2023.".
