Exemption of Duty in terms of article 23

(Amendment) Order, 2021

IN EXERCISE of the powers conferred by article 23 of the Duty

on Documents and Transfers Act, the Minister for Finance and

Employment has made the following order: -

The title of this order is the Exemption of Duty in terms of

article 23 (Amendment) Order, 2021 and this order shall be read and

construed as one with the Exemption of Duty in terms of article 23

Order, hereinafter referred to as "the principal order".

Article 5 of the principal order shall be amended as

(a) in sub-article (1) the words "1st April 2021" shall be

substituted by the words "1st August 2021";

(b) in paragraph (b) of the first proviso the words "30th

April 2021" shall be substituted by the words "31st August

2021"; and

(c)

in the second proviso:-

(i) immediately after the words "promise of sale"

there shall be added the words "or promise of transfer";

(ii) the words "1st April 2021" shall be substituted

by the words "1st August 2021"; and

(iii) the words "31st December 2021" shall be

substituted by the words "31st January 2022".
