Number of Persons in Public Spaces

(Amendment No. 2) Regulations, 2021

IN EXERCISE of the powers conferred by articles 26 and 27(c)

of the Public Health Act, the Minister responsible for public health,

after consultation with the Superintendent of Public Health, has made

the following regulations:-

(1) The title of these regulations is the Number of

commencement.

Persons in Public Spaces (Amendment No.2) Regulations, 2021 and

these regulations shall be read and construed as one with the Number

of Persons in Public Spaces Regulations, hereinafter referred to as the

"principal regulations".

(2)

These regulations shall come into force on the 31st March,

2021.

In regulation 2 of the principal regulations the words "four

(4) persons" shall be substituted by the words "two (2) persons".

(1) Regulation 3 of the principal regulations shall be

amended as follows

(a) the words "two hundred euro (€200)" shall be

substituted by the words "three hundred euro (€300)"; and

(b) in the proviso thereto the words "one hundred euro

(€100)" shall be substituted by the words "one hundred and fifty

euro (€150)".
