Il-Monti (Procedure) (Amendment) Regulations, 2021

IN EXERCISE of the powers conferred by article 6 of the Monte

di Pietà Act, the Minister for Finance and Employment has made the

following regulations:-

The title of these regulations is the Il-Monti (Procedure)

(Amendment) Regulations, 2021 and these regulations shall be read

and construed as one with the Il-Monti (Procedure) Regulations,

hereinafter referred to as the "principal regulations".

In regulation 2 of the principal regulations, in the definition

"Commissioner", the words "Commissioner of Inland Revenue" shall

be substituted by the words "Commissioner for Revenue".

Regulation 4 of the principal regulations shall be

substituted by the following new regulation

"4. Il-Monti shall open for business on the days and

hours as prescribed by the Commissioner.".

In sub-regulation (1) of regulation 11 of the principal

regulations, the words "form shown in the Schedule" shall be

substituted by the words "form as prescribed by the Commissioner".

Regulation 12 of the principal regulations shall be

amended as follows

(a) in sub-regulation (1) thereof, the words "form shown

in the Schedule" shall be substituted by the words "form as

prescribed by the Commissioner"; and

(b) in sub-regulation (2) thereof, the words "form shown

in the Schedule" shall be substituted by the words "form as

prescribed by the Commissioner".

The Schedule to the principal regulations shall be deleted.
