Period of Quarantine (Amendment) Order, 2020

IN EXERCISE of the powers conferred by article 27(c) of the

Public Health Act, the Superintendent of Public Health has made the

following order:-

The title of this order is the Period of Quarantine

(Amendment) Order, 2020 and this order shall be read and construed

as one with the Period of Quarantine Order hereinafter referred to as

"the principal order".

In sub-article (1) of the principal order, the words "his

arrival in Malta." shall be substituted by the words "his arrival in

Malta:" and immediately thereafter there shall be added the following

proviso

"Provided that the Superintendent of Public Health

may, in her absolute discretion, suspend the provisions of this

order or provide for other conditions, by notice in the Gazette,

where, in the opinion of the said Superintendent, the quarantine

of certain persons providing an essential service be subject to

different conditions.".
