Closure of Schools (Extension of Period of Closure) Order, 2020

IN EXERCISE of the powers conferred by article 27(c) of the

Public Health Act, the Superintendent of Public Health has made the

following order:-

(1) The title of this order is the Closure of Schools

commencement.

(Extension of Period of Closure) Order, 2020.

This order shall come into force on the 21 st March, 2020.

In furtherance of the second proviso to article 3 of the

Closure of Schools Order, the Superintendent of Public Health is

hereby extending the closure of schools for students and educators

until the Superintendent, by notice in the Gazette, repeals the order for

the closure of schools

Provided that the Superintendent of Public Health may, in

her absolute discretion, suspend the provisions of this order, by notice

in the Gazette, if in the opinion of the said Superintendent, such

suspension is necessary for the continuity of the provision of essential

services.
